VOLCANIC PUMICE STONE

The naturally honeycombed stones spewed forth by volcanoes are known as pumice. Off the coasts of the Aeolian Islands, in Sicily, they can sometimes be seen bobbing on the sea until they are harvested on the beach. Light and softly abrasive, pumice helps to smooth out calloused areas quickly and easily – especially on damp skin, right after a bath. A natural pumice stone will last you a lifetime, in order to clean it, brush its alveoli under hot water and leave it out to dry in the open.
